With the Queen Mother due to dedicate the new wing at Britannia Hospital, administrator Vincent Potter (Leonard Rossiter) has his share of challenges, from angry protesters to striking staff to determined journalist Mick Travis (Malcolm McDowell), whose plans to expose the wing’s quack head surgeon (Graham Crowden) are about to go horribly awry.
